Terms &
conditions.
1. Who these terms apply to
These terms apply to every quote, assignment and collaboration with Daphne Plantaz, an independent freelance professional based in Europe, working with clients worldwide.
2. Quotes and agreements
Every project starts with a written proposal describing the scope, the deliverables, the planning and the fee. A proposal is valid for thirty days. An assignment starts once it is confirmed by email or signature.
3. Rates
Rates are shared on request and depend on the scope, duration and type of work (one-off project, short-term assignment, ongoing or fractional collaboration). Rates quoted are exclusive of VAT where applicable, and exclusive of third-party costs such as software licences, stock material, travel or shipping, which are agreed in advance.
4. Scope and changes
Work outside the agreed scope is possible, but is discussed and confirmed first, with its own timeline and fee. Timely input, access and feedback from the client are needed to keep a planning realistic; delays in these may move the delivery date.
5. Invoicing and payment
Longer projects are invoiced in instalments, smaller ones on completion. Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are due within fourteen days. If an invoice stays unpaid, work may be paused until it is settled.
6. Cancellation
Either side may end a collaboration in writing. Work already carried out, and costs already committed, are invoiced. For reserved ongoing capacity, a notice period of two weeks applies unless agreed otherwise.
7. Confidentiality
Everything shared during a project — data, access, strategy, product information — is treated as confidential and is not shared with others. Client names and project details are only shown publicly with permission.
8. Ownership and use of work
Once the final invoice is paid, the client may freely use the delivered work: systems, documentation, processes and content created for them. Underlying working methods, templates and know-how remain the property of Daphne Plantaz and may be reused. Created content may be shown in a portfolio unless agreed otherwise in writing.
9. Responsibility
Assignments are carried out with care and professional judgement, as a best-efforts obligation. No guarantee is given on commercial outcomes such as sales or growth. Liability is limited to the amount invoiced for the assignment concerned, and indirect or consequential damage is excluded.
10. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the law of the country where Daphne Plantaz is established within the European Union. Any disagreement is first discussed together before any other step is taken. Questions about these terms are welcome at hello@daphneplantaz.com.
